NaturalQuery (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information — name, email address, and profile picture when you sign up with email or Google OAuth.
  • Data sources you connect — CSV files you upload, Google Sheets URLs, database connection strings, and Shopify store credentials.
  • Queries and conversations — questions you ask, AI-generated responses, and any visualizations or dashboard items you create.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, and basic device information collected automatically for analytics.

2. How We Store Your Data

All data is stored in encrypted, access-controlled databases. Database connection strings and Shopify OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Uploaded files are stored in isolated, access-controlled cloud storage. We do not store your database passwords in plain text.

3. Read-Only Access

NaturalQuery enforces read-only access to your databases and Shopify stores. All queries are validated before execution to block INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, DROP, and other write operations. We will never modify your source data.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth — for authentication. We receive your name, email, and profile picture; we do not access your Google data beyond sign-in.
  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — to process your natural-language queries and generate insights. Query content is sent to Anthropic’s API for processing.
  • Cloud infrastructure — for hosting, file storage, and serverless compute. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Delete your account and all associated data, including uploaded files, chat history, and connected data source credentials.
  • Rectify any inaccurate information in your account.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove all personal data, uploaded files, conversation history, and stored credentials within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained for product improvement.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session authentication. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of NaturalQuery after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
